Gila Valley Temple Dedication

We had the opportunity to attend the Gila Valley Temple Dedication yesterday. They extended the dedication all throughout Arizona which was a wonderful experience. As Kiel and I walked into our stake center, with our "green cards" our recommends in hand... that same sweet feeling you feel in the temple was there. People spoke softly and reverently. They canceled all church meetings for the day and had 3 sessions of the dedication. It was such a blessing to sit and partake of the wonderful, inspired messages each speaker had. It was really sweet when President Eyring and President Monson joked around with one another. It felt as if I was standing in their presence. What great men we are lead by. I am so excited for this new temple. Even though it's a drive... about 3 hours away, it's just one of the 3 temples being built here in Arizona. And they keep getting closer to us. Even though the Mesa temple is only 10 minutes away, it will be nice having 3 within an hour drive. What a blessing, for the inspiration that President Monson had to build more temples here in Arizona. It was an amazing experience and I am looking forward to the 2 others within the next couple of years.

This week

To update.... this past week the kids and I have been sick with a nasty cold. (Thanks to Chloe and her teething...) Why my children decide to get a ton of teeth all at once, I don't understand but it makes for a miserable, sick couple of months. Blah. Anyways. A couple of cute things...
*When Connor doesn't feel well all he wants to do is sleep comfortably and watch "toons" so this week we did a lot of that... but it's been kinda sweet, each night well after Kiel has gone to work Connor very very quietly comes into my room and stands by my bedside and says, "Mommy... Mommy (it's takes a couple of tries to wake me I guess), I snuggle you?" Now, as I've posted before Connor doesn't snuggle.... he lays on the other side of our king size bed and then wants to barely hold my hand... he's my sweetheart. Since I don't "snuggle" either :)
*I think it's been 2 weeks now... but Connor has found a new love. "Monies", Grandpa Miller you would be proud. Everywhere we go he wants to take his pennies. Not just one he wants at least 3. He asks people for their monies... we call him Scrooge McDuck
We find little stacks of pennies every where. We're trying to teach him to always pick up his pennies so Chloe doesn't get to them!!! He loves his monies!!!

*Chloe has finally popped out a tooth!!!! Just barely this week but they're coming!!! Yeah Chloe! We've figured out... whenever she's on the floor and she gets fussy about whatever.. we look at her and say "Yeah Chloe" and clap and smile... she will turn, sit on her buns and start to smile and wave her hands. She loves it!!! Oh, My happy babies... well minus the being sick part:(

Shrek Toes

Today while in a beauty supply store, I was buying color for a client.... We saw the new OPI nail polishes!! They have an entire collection dedicated to Shrek. All the Shrek Colors!!! Greens, Yellows, and Blues. Connor is always jealous that Chloe and I get to paint my nails... so I bought a blue color named Ogre-the-Top Blue. So to prepare for the new Shrek movie coming out this week I painted our toe nails Ogre-the-top Blue!!! Connor loved it!

We all have smurf toes!!!!

9 Month Checkup

On Monday I took Chloe to see our favorite Dr. Leavitt for her 9 month checkup. Here's my girl:
Height- 28 1/4" (75%)
Weight - 20lbs 1oz (70%)
Head - 17 3/4" (75%)
She's healthy and happy.... (well expect for the teething part... not so happy)
Dr. Leavitt says we can start feeding her eggs and meats.. we just need to still mash it all, due to NO TEETH:)
*Love you Chloe*

I had to add this little clip... This is Chloe and Connor playing in the hallway at church on Sunday... I have to give up for Chloe, It's tough being a girl. Crawling in a dress is tough stuff.

My sweet boy

For the past couple of days Connor has been really cute... I think he understands that after lunch time it's nap time... or he's figured out that if he doesn't like what's for lunch he'll just take himself up to bed. He's really sweet about it.. he says Mommy I'm tired....I go nap time. Today he started walking upstairs and he turned and said Mommy I love you, night night.. Then he turned to Kiel, Chloe and Petey and said the same thing then left. Kiel checked in on him a couple of minutes later and found him like this... We thought maybe he would go up to play and be bugged but he was genuinely tired and understood that it was nap time. What a sweetheart. Love you Connor!

Mother's Day

There are times that I still have to remind myself of my situation. I am 24 years old... I have been married almost 5 years... 2 kids... a dog... a house and I live in ARIZONA. 6 years ago I didn't even think I wanted to get married... Crazy how things work out.... The sweetest part of my day yesterday was Connor coming into my room to wake me up and saying "Happy Momma's Day" My kids have given me so much joy. I tell Kiel all the time that I am afraid that one day Connor is just going to wake up as a teenager and hate me. I worry at times, am I doing what is right, am I being a good example?
This past weekend I observed 2 teen aged girls and their relationship with their mother's while I helped them get ready for prom. One girl completely respectful, loving, kind and Grateful. My 2nd client.. polar opposite! I love doing updo's and everything that involves getting ready for such a fun event but the mood was just so dampened for me that I just quickly did what I needed to do and got out. On Sunday I called my mom and explained what I experienced and apologized to her if I was ever like that to her.
I am so grateful of the loving relationship that I've had with my mom. She's always been my best friend and greatest example. I pray that my children respect and look up to me the way I've done with my Mother. Mom, I love you and I thank you for being the loving, patient, compassionate person you are. I hope someday I can be like you. Happy Mother's day to all you lovely ladies out there! It's the one day that we DON'T have to do the dishes, at least in my house:) (love you Kiel!)

9 Months

Our little Chloe isn't so little anymore :( 9 Months old today, and wearing a 18 month sized shirt!!! She's such a cutie. She's still such a happy, go lucky little girl. No teeth yet so I'm sure the craziness will come out soon enough but hopefully those teeth will show up soon. We're so blessed to have her apart of our family!

Connor and his baby "sissy".

Chloe loves playing with Connor's dump truck more than he does!!!

This isn't the best video of Chloe but she's starting to walk along the couch and with Connor's dump truck!!
