One more Confession

While browsing the kids’ clothes at Target today this thought came to me….

~*~

This brings me back to when I was little.. My Mom and I went our rounds on the whole Modesty thing. But I am so grateful for her persistent attitude about it. In her belief, there was no reason or excuse for immodesty. Not for prom, not even for working out…etc… I honestly struggled with this growing up in New Jersey and Maine.. There weren’t very many of us that always dressed modestly but I am go glad that my mom won all of those battles, because now having a little girl, I know that those discussions (hopefully discussions and not fights) are right around the corner and I pray that I can inspired like my mother was… to teach her the way my mother did. Thank you, I love you Mom.

~*~

(And I hope my jar of beans are mostly white… I am sure there are a couple of red ones, but I’m working on those.)

Friday Confessions

Another week of confessions…

*~*

I am, and probably always will be a night person. I don’t usually go to bed until 10ish… between putting the kids to bed and going to sleep is “my time”. It’s when I am most productive. For example, last night I folded all the clothes, put them away, did my ironing,  cleaned out and organized my closet and dresser.

*~*

But on the flip side, I am NOT a morning person. I try to convince Connor when he sneaks into my room in the morning to go back to sleep or watch “Toons” while I wake up… I have to “Boot up” in the morning.

*~*

Every night before allowing myself to fall asleep I have a long checklist in my mind that I run through. I hate that feeling like I forgot something… so I go through each step to make sure I did everything I needed to that night. (I am a list person)

*~*

When Kiel and I met, I was Esthetiology school… I used Kiel as my model a lot at home. I have always found extracting him so fascinating. I know this might sound gross but I love it. A lot of times I get close to him and thinks I am coming to snuggle and then I start picking at him… But his skin looks great:)

*~*

This might sound a little sad, but I have enjoyed Chloe during this baby phase a little bit more than with Connor… due to all the stress of moving, his heart, and other things.. it was hard for me to just relax and really enjoy him as much. Chloe has been an angel baby. I say that all the time to Kiel. I feel like my Heavenly Father has blest us with such easy and happy babies. Maybe this is his way of saying we can handle more… I don’t know…

*~*

Lately I have been thinking about the idea of having a 3rd little Wendelschafer (someday… not soon….), something Kiel and I don’t always agree on. But, the expense of having a baby for us is a little overwhelming at times. I don’t know…

*~*

I have been obsessed with all the Music from the TV show, Glee!!! Love it!! I secretly wish I could be and sing like those kids.

I don’t know what else to say… Be back next week.

A Big Day!

Today has been a great day.

(this is the dress Great Grandma Miller gave Chloe for her birthday. Really sweet! Plus Connor got many comments about his cute outfit as well, our little stud!)

Church this morning was nice. Kiel taught the lesson in Elder’s Quorum and from what I heard, he did a great job, of course. It was nice yesterday talking about his lesson together. I felt like I contributed a little bit.. Then right after getting home from a meeting Chloe did this!!!!

I knew walking was right around the corner… our little girl is growing up so fast!!!

Cake Pops

On one of the blogs that I follow, http://www.bakerella.com

I learned how to make these really cute Cake Pops. Pretty simple, just a little time consuming. I wanted to test them out for an up coming party… in September… anyways, here’s how they turned out.

We tested a couple of them but they are very rich so I decided to give away the rest of them. I think I made about 35 of them. So the rest of 33 will be gone by tomorrow afternoon! I thought about all the pregnant women in our ward. I’m comin’. And since they are a little awkward to carry around… this is how I packaged them up…

I’ll do better next time.. but I thought the cereal treats were a good idea. It works, right? Anyways.. I’m sure they will enjoy.

Friday Confessions

I have to steal this tradition from Hayley… I find her things so entertaining.. so I thought I would share some of mine.

~*~ I can’t go to bed without my kitchen and downstairs picked up and clean. I am the same way about leaving the house. I don’t like coming downstairs or coming home to a messy house.

~*~ I am in no means a “snuggler”. I have mentioned this before but I think this habit has rubbed off on Connor. He says, “Mommy, snuggle me.” As he holds his hand out from the other side of the bed.

~*~ Sometimes I get to wrapped up in all of things that need to be done around the house and my projects. I have to stop and literally make myself sit on the floor and play with my babies.

~*~ I hate not folding and putting away the laundry the day I do it.

~*~ Connor isn’t a big fan of my dancing… in the kitchen or in the bathroom, while they are in the bath I dance and he tells me to stop. :(

I think that’s it for now… there is much more to come, I’m sure.

A Great Week

Today I dropped off my sister and Mom at the airport. It’s been a great week with them here and My dad for the weekend. I love having my girls around so much. Aunt Erin is the best. She takes such great care of my kids… she has been wonderful. She knows my schedule and the way I like my house to be ran. I love it. They both just go with the flow and help me out with the kids so much. I think our favorite time of the day is bath time and then story time. We all snuggle in Connor’s bed, smelling delicious. I love the smell of clean babies with Johnson Johnson Baby lotion all rubbed in. Anyways… we all snuggle down and read as many stories as Connor can  convince us and then say our prayers. I don’t think any of us can get enough of Connor’s “I love you’s”. He defiantly is a lover. And this week the girls have seen Chloe break out of her shell a little bit. She has started shaking her head back and forth and up and down… She dances along with Grandma to the music. Plus she started patting us on the back while holding her… It’s sweet. She’s growing up way to fast! My little ones are staying LITTLE :(DSCN1279

Anyways. Thank you Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Erin for coming and spending a week with us in this Ridiculous heat!! Now I know For Sure that I am your favorite :) I mean who else would you stand 115 degree weather for?? come on’ now.. just admit it. I will miss having my girls around all the time. I am back to doing everything all by myself. oh well… It’s been a nice mini vacation. Love you all !!!

*~*Happy Birthday Babies*~*

Yesterday we celebrated Connor and Chloe’s Birthday. Connor officially turns 3 on Monday and Chloe will turn 1 on August 3rd. So I thought one big celebration would be perfect… Until they really care, a double birthday is great for us. Since it’s 110 degrees here!! Grandpa and Grandma Miller plus Aunt Erin came down to help celebrate, which made things even more special.

All weekend Grandpa tried to talk us into celebrating the kids birthdays in the winter time, due to the heat… Maybe we’ll do their half birthdays… No more toys though.. I think we now have PLENTY!!! Thanks everyone:) It was a fun day though. The party started in the afternoon.. we drug everything.. down to our community pool area and had a pool/BBQ party! Connor loves to swim so it was perfect. He was in and out of the pool the entire time! Even when it came to opening his presents… he would open one and then take off and jump in the pool… I had to drag him back since all of his cousins were finishing the job for him. I still don’t think he really knows of all the toys that he got yesterday. After packing it all up we came home… exhausted. But Connor and Chloe finished opening some of their more delicate presents (books/clothes) and Headed off to bed!!! Little Miss Chloe has a beautiful piggy tail line now. She got a little sun on her head. One thing I made sure of.. was I saved the top portion of the cake and I am keeping it until her actual birthday and I will give her a slice and let her go to town on it… since it is her 1st birthday!! It was a great weekend with our family! I still can’t believe Connor is 3!!! He’s growing up WAY too fast!!! I love you babies!

“Horsing Around”

Chloe's Swing

Chloe is already so brave. She sees her big brother doing so many fun things… and I know she’ll be the daring one. Connor has always been very cautious and careful.. but, we don’t think Chloe will be that way. At the end of this clip you can see Chloe start to dive. Yes, she totally face planted it on the floor. Poor girl. Oh well, a couple hours later, after a mini nap (she tired herself out) she was doing it again. She has already climbed the stairs a couple of times very quickly trying to keep up to Connor. I found them both once and ONLY once upstairs both playing in his room. AHH!!!! The gate on the stairs is now in full effect!! “She’s not a baby anymore” is what Kiel keeps telling me:(  it just makes me a little sad to think if she’s our last baby… then it’s going way to fast! She’s already so big.

A good day

The kids and I had a fun, busy day today…

*We started the morning off with going to the gym.. something I haven’t done in awhile so it was nice to get back into it. Although Chloe cried the entire time I was gone:( Poor girl, she wore herself out… she fell asleep in the car in 5 minutes…

*Next we ran some errands, grabbed some things at Walmart… then headed off to our Water Activity. The ladies in the ward are so awesome for coming up with so many weekly activities for the kids to get together and play. Mondays are story time (we rotate houses), Tuesdays are our movie mornings, Wednesday one of the ladies reserved the church’s gym so the kids can run around and kick balls and play, then Fridays are Water activities (again we rotate houses).. The kids just play in whatever people have… pools, blowup pools, slip n’ slides.. whatever that’s wet and cold:)

*Next was lunch and my favorite, Nap time!!! I enjoy my little break during the day to clean and organize the house.. or just chill with Kiel.

*In the afternoon… I decided to let Chloe have a chance to play with Connor in the water. I didn’t let her earlier…. so while I prepared dinner on the grill, the kids had a lot of fun splashing around in the water with their puppy!!! It was convenient.. when they were done.. I lathered them up with soap and cleaned them up for dinner!!! all in one. DSCN1240 DSCN1252

I love that Connor and Chloe play so well together. Connor is so sweet with her and he watches out for her!! Such a good big brother.
