Today we went to the bank to deposit some checks and Connor asked what I was doing… I tried to explain so he would understand. Then later we went to the store and I pulled out some cash and Connor wanted to have some dollars, as he said… So I thought about it. Lately I’ve been Christmas shopping for the kids trying to get a head start on it. So I came up with an idea for the kids.I made this simple chart for the kids. For every chore they can earn a quarter and when they reach $20 I told them I would take them to the store and they could pick out a gift for each other. I just love the idea of the kids buying thoughtful (or suggested…) gifts for each other. $20 might be too much to buy something simple .. so whatever is left over they can combine and get baby Curtis something. So today we earned 4 quarters, which we then converted to a $1 bill. This makes me even more excited for the holidays…

Holidays = Crafts
I haven’t posted in awhile… but nothing major has happened I guess… Things have just been hectic and busy, which has been nice. This Thursday I will be 24 weeks along (6Months)! It’s gone by so fast so far… Thank goodness.. Hopefully the holidays will help with the last couple of months go by fast! With babies on the way and Holidays around the corner that always sparks my Craft projects! Some I’ve worked on I can’t post … since I am giving them away as gifts.. but today I finished one for Halloween.
I got this idea from a craft blog…http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/2011/09/todays-guest-infarrantly-creative.html
and since I had to buy wood and have them cut it at Lowes I had enough to make 4 blocks. So I am in the process of finishing one for Christmas, Valentines’ Day and Easter.
Pretty cute idea, A Hershey Kiss fits inside each hole and one for everyday counting down until Halloween!!!

First Day of Preschool!!
This morning was the first day of Connor’s preschool. He was so excited and ready to go. Last week when we went to meet our teacher he was sad to go. But this morning he did great! I was curious if he would be sad or nervous but he walked right in and went straight to his teacher. I didn’t even get emotional this morning… I did last night when I put him down to bed. I laid next to him and talked to him about school and how excited I was for him and how great I knew he was going to do. He always asks… “Mom why are you crying?” Which I respond by saying.. because I love you and am so happy… which usually works but last night he told me that I don’t cry when I am happy… I smile… oh, my bad.
But the one person that emotional this morning was Chloe. She was devastated to see Connor go without her. After we dropped Connor off we ran some errands and every time we went back to the car she asked about Connor. Like we left him in the car or something. Poor girl. She had a rough morning. When it came time to go get Connor she was so excited!!! He had a great first day and came home telling us all about it! I am so proud of my little boy!

5 months and counting
Yesterday I hit 20 weeks!! Yeah.. It’s sad that the babycenter.com email had to remind me.. but it was good news!! 5 Months! 19 more weeks to go… due to having c-sections I get to go one week earlier for sure. But to celebrate the day I accomplished some things…
*I turned 8lbs of fresh strawberries into Jam and jarred them!! 22 Jars in total. If you’re counting… there’s only 21 there… we broke one open last night and before it was really set we drizzled it over some angel food cake for dessert. Yum.
(Grandma Miller, I found using the liquid pectin made the Jam thicker and that batch seemed to set better…but equally delicious!)
*I also worked on a project I undertook about 3 weeks ago. It’s been a process.. but I made a dent yesterday. More to come on this one.. when they are finished!!
*After naptime I found Chloe sitting on top of her changing table.. something that has happened a lot lately… so I took down the railing and turned her crib into a toddler bed… “A Big Girl Bed” I kept telling her. At midnight last night I found her on the floor laying next to the door. She then told me she didn’t like it. Nice… So the next couple of nights will be interesting but it was the same with Connor.. it just takes about a week and then they get used to it.
It was a very busy day and right after we put the kids down for bed… Momma was out like a light. A good day!
