A stressful Holiday :(

It started Christmas Eve... After getting home from doing hair for a girl in my ward we were all chilling on the couches watching TV. Kiel asked me what I wanted to do for the rest of the day... I dunno I responded.... one hour later... Connor was playing like normal on the couch goofing around then all of a sudden he starts to look up at the ceiling kinda dazed and then slowly lays down and then started convulsing. We freak out.. My son was having a seizure. He was out of it for a good 2-3 minutes.. Foaming all over my shirt but still breathing thank goodness.. Just completely out of it. We rushed to get things together and get the stupid dogs in their crates. I jumped in the back seat holding Connor still and trying to talk to him. All I said to Kiel was get in and Drive to Banner Desert NOW! I called 911 and just asked what I could do for Him. It was weird that I was the one that was calm, assertive and focused while.. Tough Kiel was driving while crying and freaking out. The ER was helpful.. they did blood work and a CAT scan, a blessing from Uncle Sean and Dad... and 3 hours later we were sent home. We were told that this was a freak attack that rarely but sometimes happens. We counted our blessings, Thanked our Heavenly Father and went home. Right after we ate Dinner Kiel was washing dishes and Connor sat in a corner and went into another Seizure... I grabbed him, got my cell and got into the back seat yet again. They finally admitted Connor and decided he needed a EEG and an MRI. One Long night in an uncomfortable "lounger" later Connor and I found each other Christmas morning in a hospital room with beeping and nurses coming in and out. Unfortunately though no tests were able to be done on Christmas.. Of Course... What were we thinking having seizures on Christmas Eve..?!? Entertaining a 17month old boy in a hospital hooked up to an IV all day isn't very fun!!! Poor guy. But Santa and Mrs. Clause came and made a special appearance and brought a Huge bag of toys and books for Connor. As well and Fox 10 news… I didn’t catch the news that night but I signed a waiver.. so maybe he was on there! Connor got so many stuffed animals and blankets from the hospital and awesome people that just love serving. It was a really nice surprise. That night Kiel convinced me to come home and get some good sleep and Connor would be fine for the night (which he was.. he's a GREAT sleeper!!). Ah. I love my bed! So this morning all the tests were done (which TOtally sucks by the way!!) It's hard on the parents. I had to get him to sleep, then wake him up and then 10 minutes later put him back to sleep and then 20 minutes later wake him up again for the stupid EEG. I need a MasSage!! Thank goodness the MRI they sedated him.. he finally got a good nap. Drug induced but... still counts. The results............drum roll... He had a Nasty inner ear infection that lowered his "threshold" which caused the seizures. He had 3 rounds of Antibiotics and we were released at 5 tonight!!! That's not what I was expecting for Christmas this year but I've really counted my blessings. I am so grateful for so many things. Presents don't matter. I was just so grateful that Kiel was there with me through the entire thing! Any other Wednesday night I would have been on my own. I love my boys so much and I would do and have done these past 2 days anything for them! I hope everyone had a Very Normal and Merry Christmas. Thank you for the love and support! Connor is doing great. We're going to keep his isolated for a little while, make sure he gets healthy again!!

Oh my goodness!! How scary for you guys. I probably would've freaked out and not been so calm. Kudos for keeping your head. I hope he's doing better, poor little cutie!
