Summers around here seem just as busy around here compared to any other. Just like every other summer, the ladies in our ward come together and plan out a ton of activities for the kids to “beat the heat”. Monday is story time (people sign up to host it), Tuesday I signed Chloe up for a music class that our primary president does every year. Connor did it 2 years ago and loved it. Chloe has had a lot of fun. Wednesdays we have our Summer Movie program. We go at 9:45 and watch a children’s movie. It’s worked so nicely. Kiel has Wednesdays off so he and Curtis stay home and play while I have a date with Connor and Chloe. It’s been really fun. Thursdays, instead of going to a park…… (tooooo hot) we have reserved the gym at the church and the kids run around and play. And then Fridays is “swim day” and again different people sign up to host their pools to let everyone come and swim. We have a pool in our community and so I have been signed up to host 4 times… it’s perfect.. not much clean up for me and it’s big enough that everyone can enjoy. Busy summer so far.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple of weeks…. Curtis learning to drink from a Sippy cup… wasn’t super successful but he’ll get it..
Each week Chloe and I have a little mani/pedi date at the table… she’s such a sweetheart. She’ll sit and let me play with her nails.. she sits so still and when I’m finished she’ll stand at the fan and wait so patiently until her nails dry. I love having a little girl!
Connor put on his goggles on Curtis one day and I just couldn’t resist… funny boys..
Curtis is now Sitting up!!!! Almost 6 months and our little Bubba is growing up so fast : ( We can already tell he wants to be apart of the fun… just watching Connor and Chloe I Know he’s itching to keep up.. I’m sure he’ll be crawling soon…
Another silly day… Connor and Curtis were pirates…..
Connor and Chloe always seem to fight or throw a fit when it comes to saying the prayer… one will pout or in Chloe’s case… cry if they don’t get to say the prayer…. so I made this Prayer Di… it has Connor and Chloe’s names on their twice and then one for Mommy and Daddy… Each time we sit down for a meal we roll the di to see who gets to say the prayer. It’s been fun and so far… no tears : )
This week Kiel’s Grandma Dorothy has been in town from Oregon and Kiel and I spent some time with her, we took her to the Mesa Temple on Friday and then today Theresa and Dorothy came over for brunch and then came to church with us. Here is a 4 generation photo. It’s been a good day.
So there’s a glimpse of the past couple of weeks… tomorrow we leave for Utah. Another adventure!
