Happy Easter

This Easter season has kicked started just like ones in the past with our Annual Neely Ward Easter Egg Hunt. This year wasn’t any different from any other… I had to stop Chloe a couple of times from grabbing eggs early… She thinks she is sooo sneaky. And then after all the eggs were picked up she decided to cross the line and start picking up eggs in the “big kid” side. Goodness… that girl….. After they said “GO” I didn’t see Connor again… he was super fast and Chloe and I didn’t even try to keep up. We caught up after and I was surprised how many eggs he picked up… I think once again it was a successful Hunt. We had a good time. Next year Curtis will be out there adding to the Wendelschafer haul. 

As you can see my Monster Chloe totally “ate it” the day before playing outside in our front yard, riding one her toys down our driveway… She’s fearless…

it was a beautiful day… we have to enjoy the 80 degree weather while we have it…. ooh.. that’s a depressing statement : ( oh well.. Bring on Summer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before heading to the park.. Curtis was laughing so sweet but I only caught the tail end of it.. but I thought I would share.. he makes me smile.

Chloe loves Curtis.. but I am not sure Curtis has completely warmed up to her quite yet…. he kinda flinches when she comes close… (it’s alright… I do too )

Today we did a little Easter Egg Dying… something I haven’t done in a very long time. It was fun and the kids loved mixing the colors and making new colors.

Curtis Baby Blessing

This past week has been a great one!! It started off with my sister Erin coming into town and spending her Spring break with us. We love having her here with us!! Once she arrived she had me CHOP off her lovely locks… Her hair was almost to her beeehind…  I was nervous about it but it turned out super cute and she loved it!!! Yeah! I love big changes! Next to come into town were my parents. On Friday morning we had Jamba Juice with Grandma before going to the park to play! The weather was Gorgeous all weekend!

The kids loved playing with Grandpa.. Chloe even barricaded him so he couldn’t get off the trampoline… clever girl.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next in town was Uncle Eric, Aunt Libby and Uncle Monte! It was really fun to have everyone together. We missed Hayley and the kids but you know… we’ll take what we can get these days… it’s tough having everyone live in so many places.

Saturday afternoon we went to a spring training game. The Rockies vs. The Dodgers. Again it was a perfect day. Sunny and warm with a little breeze… A fun game!

After the game we all went to Lucille’s BBQ for dinner (now a family tradition I think).

Sunday Kiel blessed our sweet baby Curtis. It was a beautiful blessing. Curtis wore the same outfit that was made by my Grandma Pedersen that Connor wore and was wrapped in the blanket made by my Grandma Miller. Even though they weren’t here with us it felt like they were.

Curtis was defiantly loved this weekend. Uncle and Eric and Aunt Libby fought over him as much as they could… it was cute… Someday I am sure I will be fighting to hold their babies…

 

 

 

 

 

And to end on a sweet note… Eric and Libby made homemade Cannoli's. We had fun in the kitchen…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a great weekend… one will won’t forget. I feel very blessed to have the family that I have. Their love and support mean the world to us. Love you guys! Thank you for a beautiful Baby Blessing weekend!

Curtis 2 Months

Curtis hit 2 months on Monday… it’s gone by so quickly already it’s amazing. He’s such a sweetheart and such a good baby still…

This week we’ve had Aunt Erin here to play… so yesterday she went with Curtis and I to his 2 month check up…

here are his stats…

Weight – 12lbs 6oz (70%)

Height – 23.5” (75%)

Head Circumference – 15.5 (35%)

Kiel and I always look back at Connor and Chloe’s stats and then we always make our bets on how big Curtis will be… this time Erin added her bet… and we were all under… At birth Curtis was the smallest and now he’s the biggest… He’s a healthy little guy!!

Pictures

I attempted to do a little photo shoot with the kids a couple of weeks ago… well… didn’t go so well.. First off I tried doing it on my own… and I still was recovering a little so anyways… I had a friend from my ward, a photographer take some much better photos this week. I am excited about getting those back but here is a shot I had to share that I took.. Out of the 3 that I took this one came out the best I guess… Not a Great shot.. but their cuteness makes up for it!

Happy Valentine’s Day

This week has been wonderful.. We are all feeling better. We broke our “cabin fever” on Tuesday when Connor went to preschool. He was excited… he helped Mommy make his valentine’s gifts for all his friends in his class.. Since there are only 5 of them Connor helped pick out a set of cars at Walmart and he hand picked each car for each of his friends. On the little card it said “I like the way you roll” and in the bag there was the car and a little treat. Connor loved  it!! Thanks to www.pinterest.com for the idea, one of my favorite websites!

Due to my loving Baby Curtis and his need for attention… it took me a long time to put Kiel’s “Sweet Note” together but it was worth it… My man is tough to shop for but I am grateful he likes my cheesy gifts. He was much more thoughtful and he surprised me major by getting me a new rug for our living room. He took Connor and they picked out a Beautiful rug!!! I love it. He always does so good!! Love you babe.

We wanted to do something for the kids… so to add to their new toys we got Chloe a Horse that goes along with her doll house from Christmas. She loves her “My loving family” toys.

 

 

 

And for Connor we added to his Lego collection… He loves his Legos and I am really proud of him… so far he has been taking very good care of them. So I am always happy to add to his collection.

Curtis 1 Month

 

Today Curtis is 1 Month old. Some tidbits about Curtis so far…

*He still sleeps all day

*He still loves to have some “Mommy time” in the middle of the night (joyful!)

*He loves listening to us talk… most especially Connor. He always tries to turn his head to find Connor.

*He’s starting to make those fun cooing noises. So cute.

*He likes “tummy time” he takes little naps on his belly and seems to like it. 

*He’s been smiling more and more. Not voluntarily but it still is sweet to see.

He is a healthy, happy little boy!
