6 Years

October 7th 2011 marked Kiel and my 6 year wedding anniversary. Friday was a busy and hectic day so we planned our date for Saturday night. Kiel only worked in the morning so he had all afternoon to rest up for our date. We wanted to try something new so we finally decided on going to Fogo de Chao a Brazilian Restaurant in Scottsdale. It’s been our list of places to go for a while now. It was nice to get away just the two of us. FogoScottsdale

And of course I forgot to bring my camera to take pictures so I stole these online. But being pregnant I never know if I am going to be able to eat much but I was happy when I was able to get a little taste of each of the meats that were brought around. As I watched Kiel’s eyes light up each time it was fun for me to watch him enjoy his Meat : )Firepit3_01 And just because he loves me, he ordered me Crème Brule for dessert. One of my favorites… but not his… what a gentleman. Later in the evening he did stop and get himself an In N’ Out Milkshake. He needed to satisfy his chocolate craving*

It was a very simple evening but I spent it with Kiel which made it a wonderful night.

The past 6 years have been adventure. Kiel was a brave soul to marry a girl like me. He has always been so patient and kind to me even when I make his life more difficult. With our growing family I feel like we make a great team. He truly is my partner in life. I am sure I could go on and on about how much I love Kiel but I won’t… He knows. All I can say is that it’s been an amazing 6 years and I will enjoy every day I have with him. Love ya babe.

Holidays = Crafts

I haven’t posted in awhile… but nothing major has happened I guess… Things have just been hectic and busy, which has been nice. This Thursday I will be 24 weeks along (6Months)! It’s gone by so fast so far… Thank goodness..  Hopefully the holidays will help with the last couple of months go by fast! With babies on the way and Holidays around the corner that always sparks my Craft projects! Some I’ve worked on I can’t post … since I am giving them away as gifts.. but today I finished one for Halloween.

I got this idea from a craft blog…http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/2011/09/todays-guest-infarrantly-creative.html

and since I had to buy wood and have them cut it at Lowes I had enough to make 4 blocks. So I am in the process of finishing one for Christmas, Valentines’ Day and Easter.

Pretty cute idea, A Hershey Kiss fits inside each hole and one for everyday counting down until Halloween!!!

First Day of Preschool!!

This morning was the first day of Connor’s preschool. He was so excited and ready to go. Last week when we went to meet our teacher he was sad to go. But this morning he did great! I was curious if he would be sad or nervous but he walked right in and went straight to his teacher. I didn’t even get emotional this morning… I did last night when I put him down to bed. I laid next to him and talked to him about school and how excited I was for him and how great I knew he was going to do. He always asks… “Mom why are you crying?” Which I respond by saying.. because I love you and am so happy… which usually works but last night he told me that I don’t cry when I am happy… I smile… oh, my bad.

But the one person that emotional this morning was Chloe. She was devastated to see Connor go without her. After we dropped Connor off we ran some errands and every time we went back to the car she asked about Connor. Like we left him in the car or something. Poor girl. She had a rough morning. When it came time to go get Connor she was so excited!!! He had a great first day and came home telling us all about it! I am so proud of my little boy!

5 months and counting

Yesterday I hit 20 weeks!! Yeah.. It’s sad that the babycenter.com email had to remind me.. but it was good news!! 5 Months!  19 more weeks to go… due to having c-sections I get to go one week earlier for sure. But to celebrate the day I accomplished some things…

*I turned 8lbs of fresh strawberries into Jam and jarred them!! 22 Jars in total. If you’re counting… there’s only 21 there… we broke one open last night and before it was really set we drizzled it over some angel food cake for dessert. Yum.

(Grandma Miller, I found using the liquid pectin made the Jam thicker and that batch seemed to set better…but equally delicious!)DSCN2726

*I also worked on a project I undertook about 3 weeks ago. It’s been a process.. but I made a dent yesterday. More to come on this one.. when they are finished!!

*After naptime I found Chloe sitting on top of her changing table.. something that has happened a lot lately… so I took down the railing and turned her crib into a toddler bed… “A Big Girl Bed” I kept telling her. At midnight last night I found her on the floor laying next to the door. She then told me she didn’t like it. Nice… So the next couple of nights will be interesting but it was the same with Connor.. it just takes about a week and then they get used to it.

It was a very busy day and right after we put the kids down for bed… Momma was out like a light. A good day!

It’s a Boy!

It’s a boy.

It’s a Boy!!! Today Kiel and I went for our 19 week ultrasound and we saw our little boy. I would disclose all his “manhood”… you’ll just have to take my word for it! Kiel hasn’t decided on a name yet (he’s in charge this time)… so he’s my little stud for now… But we are excited to see our little guy in January. We’ll have another ultrasound in about 2 months to get a better look at his heart but other than that Momma and baby are doing well.

In other activities…. After all the traveling we are home for good!! I am glad to be home even though it’s a little hot…

On top of the Doctor’s appointment this morning Kiel helped me with all my peaches!! We canned 12 jars of peaches and yesterday I made 4 small jars of peach jam. Haven’t tried them yet but it all smelled good in the process!! yum.

Last week the kids and I flew up to Utah to celebrate my brother Eric’s wedding. He was married to his sweetheart Libby in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 4th. But… due to not having pictures of that event… I will have to post later : (

But the day before the wedding was also a special one! Our Chloe turned 2!!! Kiel was able to fly in the night before to help celebrate with us.

*So here are some of the pictures I managed to take…..

we caught Chloe being silly pretending to be Grandma at her desk and glasses!!! Silly girl
